The “Rent a Musician” format, which enjoyed success between 2012 and 2019, is being revived this year: On the weekend before the festival officially opens, you can invite musicians into your home for private short concerts — and share that singular moment with friends, neighbors, or colleagues. This is about an immediate, eye-level encounter with the music of our time, brought to you by exceptional artists. Listening, experiencing, and conversation unfold here in the intimate frame of a living room, a garden, or a shaded courtyard.This year, mezzo-soprano Loré Lixenberg and flutist Ignat Khlobystin will be available for these encounters in Schwaz and Innsbruck on September 5 and 6. Both are laureates of the prestigious John Cage Award in Halberstadt and work as composerperformers — meaning they not only interpret existing repertoire but also bring along their own sonic creations.
